amethystamore answered: "What if" scenario from the end of Thor 2: Thor comes back and sees Loki sitting on the throne (Funny or sad depending on your preference).
"Brother, it is as if you have seen a ghost
Oh and how unkempt you are, has your midgardian lady friend not been taking care of you, tut tut”
"You mock me, Loki?
At this time, you would mock me?”
- One more time and you can enroll in the frequent flyer program, Lokes.
- Shut up, Stark.
"Of course I will." She assured. That wasn’t even a question, ever. It could be born a horse and she’d love it with her whole heart. Boy or girl, they would still have to face hardships of the world, only different.
She smiled at the kiss, it being another affection she didn’t expect of him but enjoyed nonetheless. She didn’t understand how being tired and emotionally exhausted made her this way but it did. She enjoyed his touches and didn’t want them to end. So his next words were a slight disappointment.
"Could you…" She began but changed her mind mid sentence. Could you help me with that too, she wanted to ask but realised it would be too much and a silly request from her. He was being almost too good to her already. She just didn’t want this touch to end and also… the thought of his strong hands drying her off with the towel made something tighten pleasantly low in her stomach.
She opened the shower door and stepped out quickly, stumbling in the process but catching her balance on the wall as she grabbed a towel and began drying herself.
"Could I what?" he asked as he watched Ronja leave the shower stall. However, when she did so, it became quite clear what she had wanted to say. Or ask. She just wanted his help. Which was fine, really, for she didn’t seem to be quite able to even walk properly without stumbling.
"Go sit down on the toilet, okay? I’ll help you." The god turned and quickly washed his own hair. As soon as the lather was washed out of it, Loki turned off the shower and stepped out, immediately reaching out to Ronja to grab the towel.
"Come here, I’ll dry you off."
"A…A god? Oh goodness, how exciting! I wasn’t sure if they…" she murmured out while those eyes of hers fluttered closed, "existed…" Duchess certainly wouldn’t pass up a good belly rub and it tended to paralyze her into contentment. Her purring became much louder and rumbled every ounce of her body. The feline wasn’t even aware of the storm outside anymore.
This man certainly had the hands meant for caring for a feline such as herself. It was rare to find someone so caring whom didn’t wish to abuse her or throw her in some sort of sack. She had heard so many horrid stories of such awful things. “Say, Monsieur Loki…do you really wish for me to stay here with you?” Duchess cracked open a single eye and gave a small, half smile. Still in a rather dazed state.
"Of course we exist," he replied with a smile, leaning back against the couch and making himself a little more comfortable. "We just don’t visit earth that often, nor do we expose ourselves to humans."
"– and I truly wish for you to stay here," he continued, "I’m not forcing you to stay, but.. I like having you around, really."
Loki closed his eyes for a few moments, just listening to the storm outside and the loud purring coming from Duchess. It was calming and Loki relaxed with every second that passed by.
– until the thunder got louder. Lightning forked in the sky as fat raindrops rained down, followed by another lighting strike which appeared to be closer than before.
//more feels just because
Duchess kneaded at his chest a bit nervously and finally came to rest upon it. She resembled a loaf of freshly baked bread with how her front paws were tucked underneath her. That tail of hers came to curl around her form and she sighed. “Well, I don’t normally speak to any humans, but for some reason I thought I should give a try. Usually they don’t understand me yet you did…Monsieur Loki?” She smiled at that name and emitted a soft laugh before addressing his question. “Oh do forgive my manners, my name is Duchess.~”
Her sapphire gaze then lifted to meet with his and she went about laying onto her side, thumping her tail against him a few times. “Tell me, are you some sort of wizard? I’d be ever so delighted to hear more about you.” The feline purred and smiled up towards him. “Though I don’t want to impose at all…” Duchess wondered if he truly had intentions of keeping her as his own. She had already become rather attached to Loki and that wasn’t something she did easily.
"Oh, but I am not human, little one," he explained when Duchess told him that she normally doesn’t speak to humans, or that they don’t even seem to understand her.
He continued to stroke the feline, one arm resting beneath Duchess to make sure that she wouldn’t fall off of his chest. Now she lay down on her side, Loki had perfect access to caress the feline’s belly, something most animals loved, that much he knew.
"I am a god," he suddenly said, deciding that it would be best to just make that clear. "– one who knows magic."
Duchess’s eyes widened at the vase suddenly disappearing and she came to stare up at the man with awe. Oh so you know magic? How delightful!~ She purred, rather excited to see more of his tricks should he wish to perform them. The female came to rub her head up under his chin upon being scooped up and felt relief that she hadn’t caused any damage.
She wondered what might happen if she simply spoke out as she did with her kittens and Monsieur O’Malley. Duchess held a certain determination in her expression and decided to try. Would it come out as another meow or actual words? Nevertheless, the Angora took in a breath and then attempted to speak out to her new owner. “Excusez-moi, but…might I know your name?”
Loki was making his way to the couch, walking very carefully since he wasn’t really paying attention to where he put his feet. Because right now he was solely focused on the feline in his arms. He brushed his nose to the feline’s head, pressing a kiss to it afterwards – and that was probably the first time in a long time that Loki was being this affectionate and kind to another being.
The god came to a sudden halt upon hearing the voice and he didn’t need to hear it twice to realize where it came from – or rather, who it came from.
"You can talk," he stated dryly as he stared down at the little creature. "I did not think that a Midgardian creature like could do so." The god sat down on the couch and leaned back a little to allow the feline to lie down on his chest. "My name is Loki.. what’s your name, hmm?”
I am soooooo sorry for not having been online. I’ve got a shit loads of tests this week and I have to pretend that I’ve got a social life.. you know the drill.
Okay, so now I’m slowly going to start replying to drafts and post them :)
She smiled at those words, moving her other hand to her stomach too, stroking it gently. “I thought I wanted a boy but in truth I don’t really care either.” She confessed, making her mind up on the topic as she spoke. Would it make a difference to her, would she love her child differently? Of course not. It was only that she knew how hard it could be sometimes to be a girl. But then again, perhaps being a man was as hard, just in a completely different way? Her brother told her that once and she didn’t believe him then, but maybe…
His touch distracted her from the wondering. She closed her eyes, enjoying the gentleness with which he did something as simple as washing her hair. It was obvious he really tried to make it pleasurable for her though what kind of reason could he have to do so…? Taking her under the warm shower, caring for her, all that was easily explainable by his worry about the child. But this… This felt different. And she couldn’t help but enjoy that feeling way too much.
When guided under the stream, she raised her hands, stroking them down her head and hair, puling the foam off. She was tired and the thought of bed was like a dream already. To lie down and sleep, and maybe he’d allow her to hug to him once more…
The god hummed quietly to acknowledge Ronja’s words and simply continued to rinse her hair from the shampoo. Perhaps it would indeed be better if they know beforehand what the gender of their baby will be. That way they can both prepare themselves for what is about to come.
"I am sure you will love the child, regardless the gender." Loki stroke through Ronja’s hair one last time before he leaned forward, pressing a soft, gentle kiss to the side of Ronja’s neck. "Go dry yourself off and get in bed," he ordered, though again his voice didn’t sound that demanding as usual. He softly brushed his lips against her skin for some seconds and then finally pulled back, giving Ronja the opportunity to get out of the shower.
